• Lord Krishna’s cousin Shishupal introduced the Chanderi fabric. • Chanderi sarees are referred to as ‘Woven Air'. • Kolikanda is the name of the special root from where the fine count cotton for Chanderi was extracted.
FABRIC: • Katan is a plain-woven fabric with pure silk threads. • It consists of two threads twisted together. Making it sturdy & Durable. • Considered to be one of the most elegant & is also very gifted as it fits well into any look. • It has it’s origin in Persia & came to India during the Mughal Rule.
