The Bhagalpur Handloom Silk Saree is individually crafted to give a gorgeous look to Indian personality. This is a simple yet elegant looking Saree.
FABRIC: Tussar Silk , also often referred to as ‘Wild Silk, Tassar Silk, or Tusar Silk is an exquisite thread obtained from a wide winged moth that is yellowish-brown in colour. Tussar silk is a lot more textured than any other variety of Silk. The fabric is also cooler than the other varieties and is a lot more porous, therefore, breathable. Being cooler than the other varieties of Silk makes Tussar extremely wearable in warmer parts of the world. Tussar silk has shorter fibres, which makes it less durable. It has a dull gold sheen. Ghicha Silk is a high quality fabric, which provide glossy look to the saree. Its high quality natural fabrics makes it more durable and long lasting. Besides, there are numerous features of the fabric such as light weight, durable, shrinkage free and smooth texture, which make Ghicha Silk the most demanding fabric. Ghicha silk actually is the by product of tussar silk. Produced in eastern states of India like Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar, the yarns of Ghicha silk are obtained from the cocoons of tussar silk that cannot have the silk yarns reeled naturally and hence these cocoons are ruptured and the silk is reeled manually.
